Objective

The purpose of this web site is to provide access to a set of high quality, but inexpensive, engineering laboratory experiments that can be run without access to a laboratory. You can do them all at home. The materials are either available on-line, or can be made with a 3D printer. The experiments rely heavily on MATLAB/Simulink, and therefore they do not require significant programming skills. The core of each experiment is an inexpensive microcontroller, such as an Arduino, or a Rasberry Pi.

To access the experiments, click on the Experiments link in the left sidebar. If you want to see how individual experiments can be coordinated to go along with a particular course, click on the Courses link in the left sidebar.

If you would like to participate, by contributing new experiments or courses, or by providing feedback on existing experiments or the Take Home Labs web site, click on the Participate link in the left sidebar to get more information.
