OverviewThis is an introductory lab designed to help you set up and become familiar with the hardware and software that are required for many of the other labs. The lab will lead you through the installation of Simulink support for the Arduino and Arduino drivers for your computer. You will verify that everything is installed correctly by using the hardware and software to successfully blink an LED using two different methods for running models on the Arduino with Simulink: Normal Mode and External Mode. Click on the Handout PDF link in the right sidebar to download the Experiment Handout. It describes all of the steps you will need to perform to complete the experiment. If you click on the Hardware/Parts link in the right sidebar, you will find a list of all parts needed to perform this experiment, and places to order them. What You Will LearnAfter successful completion of this experiment, you will be able to connect an Arduino to your computer and communicate with it using Simulink blocks. PrerequisitesThis is an introductory experiment, and so it does not require that you have run any of the other experiments. |
